No, you don't have to have seen the movie to enjoy this ep! Yes, it contains spoilers so if you are interested in the movie, watch it first, then listen! In this super-sized episode, Eric Dwinnells and guest cohost Tom Cole discuss one of if not THE greatest werewolf movies of all time, An American Werewolf in London directed by John Landis!

Eric has known and loved the movie since he was a kid but Tom had never seen it...what did he think of it? Despite his love for the film, Eric has noticed some flaws that should be addressed! Eric and Tom discuss important questions like...

What is the point of a werewolf's killings?
Where are David's parents?
Why is Nurse Alex super DTF despite soon many red flags?!?!
Why is the ultimate appearance of the wolf disappointing?
Which has the best cover art: VHS, DVD, OR Blu-Ray?

All this and more in tonight's episode of Spooky A S!

Eric Dwinnells and guest cohost Scott Lemonde are about to take you through a brief history of Zombies and try to separate fact from fiction. It's a tall order, but we're up for a challenge!

We'll talk about the African/Haitian organs of the belief in zombies, the role that slavery played, how the myth came to the USA, and why our idea of zombies has changed so radically over the past 50 years (hint: Romero did it). Yes, of course we'll talk about Bela Lugosi in White Zombie and George Romero's zombie films and we'll touch on The Walking Dead.

Garfield is the most terrifying creature known to man! Ok, that's probably over stating it, but in the 1980's, he'd did occasionally go down some dark paths. Yes, we're going back to a lighter subject for this episode: Garfield the fat orange and black cat!

We're about halfway to Halloween and we're celebrating by taking a close look at the 1985 animated tv special, Garfield's Halloween Adventure...mostly. We'll also talk about the 1984 book Garfield: His 9 Lives in which there is a story where Garfield gets uncouth with his primal self and KILLS his owner! Then well go into a dark series from Garfield's daily comic strip where he wakes up to find his completely alone in the world!

Join host Eric Dwinnells and guest cohost Ray O'Hare as they take you on a tour of Garfield's dark side! They'll also discuss the origin of Eric's infamous Halloween VHS and what life/trick-or-treating used to be like back in the day!

Who's ready for a good old fashioned unsolved mystery? Join Eric Dwinnells and guest cohost Brian Toney as they discuss The Dyatlov Pass Incident.

In February of 1959, 9 young hikers went missing on a Russian mountain known as "Mt. Don't Go There". Eventually all of them were found dead. Some had frozen to death, others had suffered trauma from what the investigators describe only as "a competing force of nature."

Why did the hikers cut up and flee from their own tent? Why did they run out into the snowy mountain wilderness with no shoes on? Why were some found wearing only their underwear? Why was one hiker missing her eyes, tongue, and part of her lip? Why did some have fatal internal damage yet no signs of external trauma? Why were high levels of radiation found on their clothing? What were the glowing orange objects seen in the sky the night the hikers disappeared?

All this and more will be discussed on this episode of Spooky A S!
