Big cats such as cougars haven't been known to exists in New
England for over 150 years yet each year new sightings of strange
cougar-like animals are reported to local wildlife authorities.
These authorities say almost all reports of mountain lions in New
England are simply a case of mistaken identity and that mountain
lions no longer exist on the east coast of the United States...and
yet they have confirmed at least two mountain lion sightings in the
same area more than 10 years apart!
